Could
you benefit from life coaching?
Would
you like to enhance your work performance, change career or
simply achieve more in your life?
Do you need help to develop your skills
and gain more confidence?
Do you set resolutions but then give
up easily or never get started?
Are you feeling stuck in a rut and lack
a sense of purpose or direction?
Have you abandoned your dreams?
If
you have said YES to any of these questions, you are probably
one of the many people who need help in maximising your potential
and would benefit from Life Coaching.
What
is Life Coaching?
Life coaching is a powerful process that helps you achieve your
goals and make changes in your life. It is about defining what
you want and getting there. Coaching brings greater self acceptance
and awareness of your current situation. In this way you can then
make informed choices about what action to take in order to achieve
your goals and make the most of your life.
Coaching
inspires and motivates you to make the changes necessary to create
the life you want to live. What is it you want?
Better quality of life?
Improved health and well being?
A new job?
Better relationships?
To make an important decision?
More confidence?
Sense of purpose?
More fun?
To write a book or travel round the world?
Whatever
it is I invite you to explore life coaching as a path that will
help you get from where you are to where you want to be.
Why
choose coaching?

You
need a bit of a push or motivation to put your ideas into practise.
You want to make your dreams a reality.
You need to find out what has blocked you so far from achieving
your goals and you are ready to take the steps necessary.
You
may not know what you want; but you are just fed up with your
current situation or feel dissatisfied and recognise that a change
is needed. Coaching helps you define what you want and find out
what is important to you.
How does it work?
Coaching is based on powerful conversations using a variety of
different tools that challenge you to examine the ways you think
and act, accept and transform your weaknesses, fears and the beliefs
that limit you, and acknowledge your strengths and the values
that can support you.
Once
you become more aware of yourself and where you want to be, you
need to take full responsibility for getting there. You can only
achieve your goal through the action you take.
One
of the most important aspects of coaching is ACTION and in every
session you will devise an Action Plan and commit to it. This
commitment is an important part of building your self confidence.
Coaching
teaches us to enjoy the journey not just the end result.
Practicalities
- Benefits
Life Coaching sessions can be held in
Vida y Despertar in Madrid or the Guadarrama
area or by telephone according to individual needs which
will be discussed and agreed on. If you are interested
in phone sessions it is preferable to meet first and have
the initial session in person.
Coaching sessions are normally 1 –
11/2 hours long and held weekly.
The entire coaching process lasts from between 8-12 sessions
over a period of 3 – 6 months after which you will
have enough tools to guide yourself through future objectives
and goals that you wish to meet.
Please do not hesitate to call me to discuss
your needs and find out more how life coaching can help
you.
Sessions are offered in English or Spanish.

Are
you ready for coaching?
Yes if:
You are ready to take responsibility for your actions
and the changes you want to make and are prepared to commit to
the process.
You
want to achieve your maximum potential and are ready to accept
all of who you are including your limiting beliefs, emotions and
forms of behaviour and know that self awareness is not always
comfortable.
You
are ready for a full and satisfying life.
No
– you are not ready if:
What you really want is a magic wand that will solve all
your problems and sort out your life without having to do
the work.
You want the coach to give you all
the answers.

How is a coach different from a therapist, counsellor or psychotherapist?
A
coach is not a therapist, or mentor who will advise you what to
do. A coach is a facilitator for change who will challenge, motivate
and support you.
Coaching is not therapy but a process, or a journey and a partnership.
The conversations that you will have will help you reflect and
find your own answers. In coaching we do not analyse the past
as coaching is focussed on action for the future.
What
can you expect from me as a coach?
Confidentiality and commitment to your process.
I intend to challenge, motivate, listen, question and sometimes
act as a mirror offering objective feedback to help you see yourself
more clearly but above all support you to do what you want.

Testimonials
Rosa,
Madrid
I’m 38 and for many years I have dedicated my time almost
exclusively to looking after my 4 children. Now I am planning
to return to work, but I felt insecure so I decided to try coaching.
As the sessions progressed I became aware of my low self esteem
and realised that this prevented me from completing things and
that I didn’t really even enjoy any free time I had because
I didn’t believe I deserved it. Now I am more aware of my
good qualities and abilities and feel more satisfied with my day
to day life.
Thanks to coaching and Julia, I now know what I want for the long
and short term, I know what my priorities are and even see the
positive side of the obligations I have. Coaching has given me
the tools necessary to complete tasks and plan my time and I have
applied these tools in all areas of my life: personal, family,
work and freetime.
Pilar,
Administradora, Madrid
I feel valued in my work and have gained some recognition but
I started coaching because I felt dissatisfied with my personal
relationships.
Coaching helped me stand up for myself and set boundaries and
as a result I have greater balance between work and personal life.
Now I also enjoy more my free time because I have taken up old
hobbies again like painting and dance. My relationship with my
family and friends has improved because now I feel much happier
with myself.
Patricia,
Madrid
I had been very unhappy in my work for some time, and it was affecting
all areas of my life, especially my health. I decided to try coaching
as I liked the idea of a practical, goal-oriented process to help
me consider my options.
In
Julia I found a firm but compassionate guide, who helped me with
both relaxation techniques to help with the stress I was experiencing,
as well as many activities to help me to focus my attention on
what my real wants and alternatives were. I benefitted from having
her there to check my progress, ask me difficult questions and
probe for deeper answers.
During
the time I worked with Julia, I found that not only did I want
to leave my job, but that I needed to do so, that I had the strength
to do so, as well as many other professional opportunities. She
taught me that when we ask for what we truly want, if the time
is right, it comes to us.

Coaching
And The Transformation
Game
Many
of my clients find it very beneficial to deepen their coaching
process by having an individual session of the Transformation
Game. The Transformation
Game is a tool that is complementary to coaching as you explore
your objective through the different squares and cards on the
game board. In a coaching process the client is already getting
to know themselves better and making progress in order to achieve
their objective. However the game offers you another perspective
or reflection of your life and personality which helps you to
discover new qualities and overcome unconscious limitations that
may be blocking you from achieving your goal.
The
Transformation
Game is an opportunity to deepen the coaching process and
connect with your essential nature and more reflective, intuitive
side.
The
combination of Coaching and The Transformation Game
can be a powerful catalyst for change and personal transformation.
